Introduction
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Iteration Layer platform and API services operated by Fabian Schucht, trading as Iteration Layer, located at Calle General Vives 1, 6E, 35006 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, NIF Z1096165J. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Services
Iteration Layer provides API-based services for content processing, including document parsing, website extraction, image transformation, image generation, document generation, and spreadsheet generation. Services are provided on an as-is basis and may be modified or discontinued with reasonable notice.
Accounts
You must create an account to access our Services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
API Usage
API access is subject to rate limits and usage quotas based on your subscription plan. You agree to use our APIs in accordance with our documentation and acceptable use policy. Automated or excessive use that degrades service quality may be throttled or suspended.
Payment
We offer subscription plans (billed monthly or annually) and pay-as-you-go pricing. Payments are processed securely by a third-party payment provider. You are responsible for all charges incurred under your account. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice. If a price increase exceeds 10%, you may cancel your plan within 30 days of receiving notice without further charges.
Usage beyond your plan's included credits is billed automatically based on your pricing model. Subscription plans allow you to disable auto top-up or set a budget cap from your dashboard. Pay-as-you-go usage is billed based on actual consumption. You are responsible for monitoring your usage and configuring spending controls where available.
For details on refunds, see our Refund Policy .
Service Level Agreement
We target 99.9% API uptime measured monthly, excluding scheduled maintenance. Scheduled maintenance windows will be announced at least 48 hours in advance. Service credits may be issued for extended outages at our discretion.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to: violate any applicable laws or regulations; submit content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or infringes on the rights of others; use website extraction for login-protected pages, private dashboards, credentialed content, or pages you are not authorized to process; ignore site terms, robots rules, or personal-data obligations; attempt to reverse-engineer our Services; resell API access without authorization; submit malicious content; send spam or phishing; interfere with service integrity; or attempt unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
Intellectual Property
Iteration Layer retains all rights in the Services, including software, APIs, documentation, trademarks, and intellectual property. Your subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services.
Customer Data
You retain full ownership of all data you submit to our Services. We do not claim intellectual property rights over your data. We process your data solely to provide the Services. Upon account termination, you may request data export within 30 days.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Iteration Layer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the total amount paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Termination
You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, abuse, or non-payment. Data is retained for 30 days after termination for export.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain and the European Union. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the Canary Islands, Spain.
Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure or delay in performing obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, pandemic, government action, or widespread internet or infrastructure outages. Affected obligations are suspended for the duration of the event. If a force majeure event continues for more than 30 consecutive days, either party may terminate this agreement with written notice, without liability beyond amounts already owed.
